Thank Rosie. That is pretty impressive company to be compared to. Kurt

P&W bridge #1

In a fine collection of images, this one stands out to me. The bridge lines and rivets, in out out of focus, light and dark make this a really interesting and tasty image. The graffiti is the desert.

Kurt,
Thanks so much for the much needed chuckle. One of the often-times forgotten purposes of photography is to have fun.

Have wanted to shoot this scene for a long time, but was always in too big of a hurry going some place else. Finally got there before it was torn down. Kurt

Kurt,
When are you going to combine a pinhole camera with a digital back?

Hi Herman
The test images are in fact shot with a digital Olympus E-P2 camera body and a Pinwide lens. The lens just became available for the micro 4/3 cameras. I had tried other pinhole lenses for my digital SLR, but was not happy with the results. This lens produces a image that is very much like what I would get from a hand made camera. I have yet to really take it out for a field test, but like what I am seeing so far. Kurt

Thanks Rosie. That little pond has been pretty productive. I have gotten some really nice images there. K

Motorcycles

Kurt,
I love these motorcycle images. I could wax poetic about my love of old machines till the cows come home>> Grace and style merging with utility, and the battle-scars of having been used, but I'll save that for another day.
Thanks!

Thank's Rosie for the comment. There is something about the older technology that is appealing. Form follows function as they say. Kurt

Dear KURT,
Somehow, you have managed to use the lensbabies so that the process serves your vision, rather than overwhelm it, as can often happen. Excellent!

Hi Rosie
Thank you for your comment :-) I agree that often the use of the lensbaby is over done, and it is sort of getting a bad rap because of that. In fact I have considered not posting that information because some people are turned off by the very mention of the name. This is true for toy camera photography as well, and some photographers no longer acknowledge that a toy camera was used to shoot the image. Kurt
Looking for Mt. Fuji

In looking for Mt. Fuji with my Fuji camera, I keep a cool head. With poor vision in one
eye, I don't suffer from double vision. The problem is that I look thru the view finder
with the poor eye. Or maybe that's an advantage.
Great B&Ws

I agree with Patty, Bill - this is a great collection of B&W images, both the lensbabied ones and the the "normal" ones. :) I hope to see some of these in print someday.

Hi John
Thanks for the feedback. I have gotten some of these printed up and have been encouraged by the results. I would like to see them in a show at some point. I worked solely in B&W for a long time and thought I needed to get back to it. Trying to find the path and keep things interesting.

Scanner art

Oh, I just saw the scanner art. For some reason I was thinking xerox machine, office party...
To be honest, after your incredible B&Ws, they left me, well, not moved. But others make like them, and playing around leads to who knows what?
