nice collection of images from the astoria trip — looks like you had esp. good luck on your walk down the waterfront that day ..... i particularly like the little yellow buoy in the ropes from that group ..... voodoo lounge and the plastic wrapped boat with the foggy shoreline in the background are also strong

Yes, the river walk was pretty productive. Wish I had more time to explore, but glad to have the chance to be in Astoria and have rain free weather as well. Kurt

kurt.. COOL COOL AWESOME COOL! I LOVE these remainder images. You have taken so-called mundane objects and created something unique mysterious playful etc. etc.etc. This is one of the challenges we face as photographers, and you do so with wonderful results. Thanks!

Thanks Rosie
The process is very interesting, more like painting than traditional photography, and more interior than exterior. For now I will continue to explore and see what turns up.

Thanks John. I ran across him on the web and it reminded me of some early pinhole work I had done as well as the current Lensbaby work. I have a book in the works with a working title of "Small Rituals" that never seems to get completed, but maybe this will get me going again. Kurt.

Thanks Rosie. :-) I agree, #3 is the most successful of the three pix I shot. I may go back and re-work #1. Some times less is more as the saying goes. K

Sunflowers, Wheel #3

Dear Kurt,
I just love these images, especially "Wheel #3." it has a timeless quality about it, as if you have time traveled and created photographs in the style and emotional quality of — excuse me, cannot for the life of me remember how to spell their names-- Steican and Stiegliz.
Beautifully done, Mister Norlin.
Rosie
