The view from 8,000 feet

New images added to the gallery include a hike in the Cascades by Bob Ross and a couple of reflective images by Lorraine and Bill G.

Bob Ross came back from a recent trip to Three Creeks Lake with some impressive views of the windswept environment, including some ground-hugging flowers staying low to shelter from the wind and a couple of gnarly trees that couldn’t take it any more. While hiking along the ridge to Broken Top around 8,000 feet, he experienced winds of at least 30mph.

Lorraine takes another look out her window at the strange summer we’ve had, and Bill G. sees a sign of the future in S.F.
